Things must progress at their own pace and we cannot and should not try to rush them for if we do we will just burn ourselves out and waste energy instead of getting there more quickly.

Realize that things will happen the way that they will happen and at their own time. Slow down and pace yourself, realizing that a sustained and constant application and effort will give you better results. Do not be like the bad student who neglects their studies all year long and tries to memorize their textbooks the night before the final test. Pace yourself. You will find that you have more energy and that you can approach everything from a calmer place, a state of inner tranquility.
When you feel like you aren’t getting far enough, fast enough it will help you to detach from the present feeling by gaining perspective. You can easily do this by comparing yourself to where you were weeks, months, or even years ago. Then you will see how far you have come. Do not look for quick results but put in sustained effort. Slow down and concentrate on one thing at a time instead of the result and progress. Slow down. Breathe.
