This can come from a few things but always stems from your inner state. When we are closest to fulfilling our purpose and achieving our goal that is when it hits us. We all of a sudden begin to doubt all our work and second guess everything. It can be overwhelming. It also comes when we feel we are impossibly far from our dream. It always comes from our energy not having direction and it provides a solution for us.
The good thing about this feeling is that it means you have energy, it simply is a matter of pointing it in the right direction. When you feel this way it is helpful to make a list of what you need to do and try to make some progress. You will find that this restlessness distracts you from your tasks and when it does switch to a different task. Change your focus and piece by piece you will find that your energy is put to good use. The key is to get the energy out of your body and to make it serve you. Eventually this feeling of restlessness will pass and you will be filled with inner peace and calm but while you feel this way it is best to make use of this energy instead of letting it brew within you. This feeling has the power to destroy the clarity in your mind and even make you physically sick so it is best to deal with it as soon as you feel it. Do not compensate by trying to rest when it drains you but rather continue on with your day and you should be exhausted by the end of the day and be able to sleep well.
