As we go through life we all experience profound sensations of change. Usually we only become aware of them when you look back retrospectively, the reason for this is that the distance allows us to see ourselves as we were and we recognize that we are not the same way anymore. Something has changed. Change is constant but we are seldom aware of it because we are living in an illusion of stability. The illusion is so strong that many of us are not able to escape it. We live in a state of deception because we cannot perceive that things are changing slowly.
The Four of Hearts allows us to see through the deception of constancy by telling us that everything is changing, it also provides a solution to allow us to detach from this illusion. It tells us that we can detach and get perspective by going on a journey. A journey can be exciting and exotic as we travel to new and unusual places, parts of the world that open our minds and our eyes to new ways of seeing. The distance itself helps us get away from and out of our heads. When we leave our normal routine and environment we are able to see ourselves and situations with newfound clarity and insight. This journey does not have to take you across the world. It can be as simple as a little road trip or a weekend away. Many times these little journeys and travels help clear our minds and reset our nervous systems. This card can also represent a
change in work or home.
This is often a shock to our comfort but ultimately helps us to grow as we are faced with the reality of change. We all have affections for the way things are and the way things used to be but we must face the fact that on this earth we cannot hold on these things as they are meant to pass. Be brave and hold memories in your heart, allow them to become a part of you as you continue the journey that is your life. You have to move forward and on whether you want to or not.
