Mahdi Gilbert Performs Magic Onstage at Juan Tamariz’s 70th Birthday Celebration

Mahdi Gilbert was invited to perform magic onstage with Juan Tamariz for his 70th birthday celebration at La Sala Galileo Galilei in Madrid, Spain in October 2012. Juan Tamariz is the most famous and influential magician in Latin America and Spain and considered by many in magic to be the greatest magician alive today. When Juan introduced Mahdi he said,

“Mahdi Gilbert is a very, very special magician and even though I only have known Mahdi for 5 years it feels like I have known him for 50 years and he is a very good friend. I believe that Mahdi will be remembered in history as one of the great magicians.”

This was Mahdi Gilbert’s first time performing onstage and he was able to do it with one of his heroes in magic. Mahdi Gilbert says that this was a dream come true for him. The entire audience loved Mahdi and gave him a very long and loud standing ovation. Many, many great magicians were in attendance from all over the world as well as many prominent figures, politicians and celebrities from Spain.
